The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India on Monday said it has hiked prices of hatchback Swift and CNG variants of other models by up to Rs 15,000. The price change for Swift and all CNG variants is owing to an increase in various input costs, Maruti Suzuki India said in a regulatory filing.
Priced at Rs 754,689, this is the sixth model from the company's portfolio after Alto, WagonR, Swift, Baleno and Dzire to be BS-VI compliant.
Faced with rising input costs, Maruti Udyog Ltd on Monday effected a price hike, including on the popular Alto model, but made no changes in the prices of entry-level car M800 and multi-utility Gypsy.

The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) is planning to invest around Rs 18,000 crore on a new manufacturing facility in Haryana, as per a top company official. The new plant would replace the company's Gurugram-based facility and is expected to have an installed production capacity of 7.5-10 lakh units per annum. While confirming the Rs 18,000 crore investment plan, MSI chairman RC Bhargava told PTI that the company had always planned to shift the Gurugram facility to a nearby location.
So at the beginning of the current financial year when the domestic automobile industry started to depict the first signs of a slowdown, MSIL resolved to intensify focus on such niche segments to bring in the additional numbers.

Maruti Suzuki India's (MSI) tall boy WagonR was in the third spot with 1.60 lakh units while Alto and Dzire were at fourth and fifth with 1.59 lakh units and 1.28 lakh units respectively, it added.
The company had introduced the AGS technology in India with Celerio and it currently offers it in Alto K10 and WagonR also.
